We are now starting to get into more in-depth preparations so that we can start to see the show come together for our performances.
It is extremely important that you are on the BAND for all of your child's class. This is where all of the important information for the concert will be located.

Our website is another great source of important information, and we recommend reading this and BAND first to see if your question is answered there.

Specific questions to your class would be best answered by your teacher, so messaging in BAND would be best.

This concert has 380+ students involved and is a mammoth task to organise, so the website, BAND and teachers should be your first port of call for information.

We will have extra rehearsal times coming up for the concert. They are listed below and also all information will be on our Website. www.danceworks.co.nz

Important deadlines:

● Concert Attendance Confirmation: We do need everyone to fill in the below registration/opt out form by the 31st August. Please fill in the form via this link https://forms.gle/TSEudDJQM35hQazX9

● If you do not let us know you will be billed for a costume and this will need to be paid for. Once you have confirmed you are liable to pay for any costumes ordered even if you change your mind as these are made for us and cannot be returned.

● Measurements: These are to be done by parents and MUST be added into the above registration form by 31st August. There is a video on how to do this correctly in the form, if you need assistance you can call in to admin during office hours and someone will assist you.

● Alterations: Any alterations needed will be at an extra cost to parents, so please ensure you measure accurately.

● Costumes: All costumes will be billed to student accounts by the 1st September and MUST be paid in full by the 30th September as our cutoff for ordering for them to arrive in time for the show is the 4th October.

● Term 4 Enrolments: These will be CLOSED for Term 4 so we will not be adding anyone into classes from the end of term 3.

Mass Rehearsal Information-Times to be confirmed

Our Mass rehearsals are the time to see the show come together and it is very important that students attend these. We may have times when your child may not be needed and they can go home but we will let you know in advance.
Classes will run as normal on Mass Rehearsal weekends.
Pre School does not have any Rehearsals

Dress Rehearsal Times: Times to be advised
Dress Rehearsals will be on the following days.
Thursday 12th December
Friday 13th December

We will confirm who needs to come on what day and the time for you as soon as this is finalised. Keep an eye on your class band. When we advise you of the times, you will also be advised what you need to bring and wear etc to the rehearsal.
Pre School does not have a Dress Rehearsal.

General Information:

• Tickets will go on sale in November, we will advise you of the dates as soon as we have them. We have not set the prices yet for the tickets.

• We will have posters you can give out or hang up at your place of work, if you would like to do this then please pop in to the admin desk when you see the posters go up in our window.

• Costumes will be given out the week of the show so they can be worn at Dress Rehearsal. Once we have full class sets of costumes we will ask the class to try them on to make sure there are no alterations needed. If they are needed, parents will need to sort this out.

• Please read your costume information that will be emailed closer to the concert in case you have to provide any part of the costume e.g. specific tights, a leotard etc, that you know what it is you need to purchase and have time to buy this.

• Hair and makeup, this information will come out later and if needed we have tutorials to help you. It will be sent through your BAND classes.

• Soon we'll be asking for parent helpers for the shows, we utilise the Regent and our studio as dressing rooms. We need helpers to make sure the children are ready to go onstage and to make sure they are supervised while others are onstage.

• The shows will be photographed and videoed again this year and more information will come out about this later.
